Hot Toddy (The way Daniel makes it) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You will need: Water Honey (Or brown sugar -- white sugar if you're really pushed) Whisky (Single Malt -- pref. 18yrs old or more) -- Not necessary but useful Fresh Ginger root Cinnamon sticks Ground nutmeg (or a nutmeg to grind) Cloves (Optionally: a small amount of mixed spice (Note this passes through the strainer)) Method: In a pan, heat some water to simmering temperature. Add the honey, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger and simmer for 5 mins with a lid on (Add the mixed spice here too if you want). Take the pan off the heat and add the whisky (about 1:5 Whisky:water) Leave the pan (with lid on) for about 3 mins. Now heat the pan until it boils (for 30 seconds or so) then remove from heat and pour (through sieve or strainer) into mugs Wait for about 2 mins, then drink.
