Name : Aleph Psyche : 95 Strength : 1 Endurance : 40 Warfare : 10 API : 75 Conjuration: 20 Encounter suit: Engine Speed: 4 (description below) Invulnerable: 4 Alt Form : 1 Physique/Strength/Constitution (PSC)- 5 Agility/Dexterity (AD) - 25 Empathy/Intelligence (EI) - 25 Psionics/Intuition (PI) - 50 Bravery/Leadership (BL) - 5 GTA/MechA/ElecA (GME)- 90 Aleph is an Amberite by heritage, and an explorer of Infinite Shadow by nature: Ever since walking the pattern, he has travelled further and further into shadow, particularly those high-tech shadows which are very remote from both Chaos and Amber - unlike many of his psche-inclined relatives, he hasn't spent much time on trump or sorcery or the like: What he has done is used a combination of API and conjuration to master technology in large swathes of shadow. The idea is this: Instead of using pattern to rack spells, Aleph uses his powers "process" technology, absorbing its principles and construction into his own memory using a combination of conjuration and the pattern lens, and then storing the resulting "blueprint" in the pattern itself (much as pattern sorcerors can rack spells in the pattern) [I've assumed API is needed for this as the rules say advanced powers are required to allow them to be combined] He can then recall designs from the pattern to recreate technology he has become familiar with. Using pattern in conjunction with conjuration also allows him to make conjurations much more resistant to shadow-shifting than ordinary conjuration. ============================================================================ Encounter suit: Since he spends a lot of time in hight tech/space shadows, but cannot shapeshift, he has constructed an encounter suit (basically an armoured space suit, so he can survive in whatever bizarre environment he fetches up in - the Invulnerable to Conventional weapons is more to represent this aspect of the suit than its actual use in combat - Aleph prefers to get the hell out of dodge at warp speed when faced with nasty, uncivilised combat situations). The engine speed is there to represent the suits mobility in all sort of environments - he tweaks it with his API/Conjuration if it needs extra abilities to move around. The encounter suits alternate form is a badge which he can wear for easy access (the actual transformation isn;t shapeshifting, it's achieved by a fixed folding/unfolding of the spatial dimensions of the suit, but the end result is the same - in case of explosive decompression, the suit can deploy quickly enough to save his life and avoid unsightly scarring). ============================================================================ Aleph uses these skills, his familiarity with high-tech shadows, and his encounter suit to boldly go where (hopefully) no Amberite has gone before. His history of exploring, and his familiarity with the swathe of shadows in which the Norn has been making its presence felt have made him a prime candidate for this particular assignment, which is why he's along for the ride (not that he objects, it all looks pretty interesting so far...)
